QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What you want to know.
Which systems does WaveDesk run on?
WaveDesk is designed for Macs with Apple Silicon (arm64). The binding system requirements for your edition are listed in the relevant Softdeck offer.
Can I load my own VSTs?
WaveDesk loads VST3 instruments and effects. A plugin must be compatible with the host’s architecture and environment. Compatibility depends on the plugin manufacturer and its system requirements.
Are all plugins included in every edition?
No. This website presents the developed plugin family. Included instruments, effects and download rights depend on the specific offer. The product description at Softdeck is authoritative.
Can I record multiple instruments or voices?
Multitrack audio recording is implemented. Select an input and monitoring for each armed track. The usable project size depends on your computer, interface, buffer and plugins.
What can the Audio Note Editor do?
For monophonic recordings, you can edit pitch, timing, formants and expression, among other parameters. The result depends on the source material and the extent of your corrections.
How does WaveDesk save my work?
Alongside normal project saving, background autosave, backup history and recording journals are available. Recovery is not guaranteed for incompletely written takes or incorrectly serialised third-party plugin states.
Which formats can I export?
WAV in 16 or 24 bit, 32-bit float and MP3 are implemented, alongside individual tracks and MIDI. AAF and OMF support audio arrangement exchange; complete transfer of plugins and mixer settings between manufacturers is not guaranteed.
Does WaveDesk support surround or Dolby Atmos?
The WaveDesk mixer works in stereo. The SPATIA plugin requires a host with a suitable multichannel bus for its multichannel features.
Where do I buy and download WaveDesk?
Purchases are made through Softdeck. There you will find the specific offer and the downloads and terms associated with your licence. This website has no separate checkout.
Questions about purchases, accounts or licences?
Softdeck is your destination for offers and managing your software licence.
